There are a lot of main sights here in Passau, a city in Bavaria, Germany. I still did not visit all the main sights because we just had a short trip last time. That building you see on the top of the hill is the so-called Veste Oberhaus. I was not able to go up there. Hopefully this year when my sister will visit Germany, we will go back to Passau. Main Sights Tourism in Passau focuses mainly on the three rivers, the St. Stephen's Cathedral (Der Passauer Stephansdom) and the "Old City" (Die Altstadt).

Passau is a town in Niederbayern, Eastern Bavaria, Germany, known also as the Dreiflüssestadt because the Danube River is joined there by the Inn River from the South, and the Ilz River coming out of the Bavarian Forest to the North. Tourism in Passau focuses mainly on the three rivers, the St. Stephen's Cathedral with the world's greatest church organ - and the "Old City" Many river cruises down the Danube start at Passau and there is a cycling path all the way down to Vienna.

First of all, I would like to greet all American people a happy and memorable Independence Day! God bless you all and America! It was a very great day today after we had an escapade in Landshut, a city in the state of Bavaria, Germany. It was the first time that I visited the Altstadt or old city of Landshut. I always passed this place before when we go anywhere in Lower Bavaria. Sometimes we also passed this city when we travel by train going to Munich or Ingolstadt.

Neuschwanstein Castle From Sleeping Beauty Posted by Lori Mullins June 29, 2009 The Neuschwanstein Castle is probably the most famous castle in the world.  The Neuschwanstein Castle is the castle they based the Sleeping Beauty Castle on in Disneyland.  Nestled in the Bavarian countryside, this beautiful castle sits between high mountains and clear blue lakes.  It takes about 2 hours by train to get to the Neuschwanstein Castle from Munich.  There really isn’t a better starting point than Munich
